Second from back on the top set, a tooth chipped and then rotted away over a year until it eventually snapped and disappeared, apart from the roots - they are still in my gums. Now, i want to get these out. How do i go about doing this without going to the dentist? I am scared shitless of them you see. My other teeth are fine.Tooth problem.. i need some advice...?
I don't think it's realistic at all to think you can do this on your own. Even a dentist won't do it but will refer you to an oral surgeon who specializes in extractions of all kinds. You'll have to see a professional. I totally understand your fear of dentists but your best bet is to find one who is sensitive to your fears. Ask your friends for recommendations about their own dentists. Good luck and it won't be as bad as you fear, I know I've had a couple of mine removed. Please get your tooth taken care of before you become really sick from a potential infection.Tooth problem.. i need some advice...?
You should be afraid of having an infection that could kill you more than you are of a dentist. Ask for sedation when you go to the dentist. You will sleep through the whole thing. People have died from abscessed teeth. Make an appointment today.
i have a tooth on my left side. my dentist removed the
old filling in all of the back ones.. last month i was grinding
my teeth. have a tiny hole, and a cavity go to
the dentist sounds like you need a root canal done
my sisters dentist told me if it got worse i need a cap
800 to have one, or a root canal i don't hurt no more
but i'd call today and make an appoiment. i'm scared going to
but once it's done i feel better this is teeth cleaning
good luck hope you feel better
take something hard and chew.
Performing surgery on yourself is rarely a good idea. This case is no exception. Please see a dentist right away.
you cant do anything yourself but i had the same problem last week. i finally went to the dentist cos i kept getting agonising absesses because of the rotten tooth. i can honestly say it did not hurt atall. it was the first time i had been to the dentist in 10 years cos i was so scared of them. i explained that i was nervous and he was great and put me at ease. it took less than a minute to get the roots out and although i could hear a slight cracking noise i felt no pain. even the injection was painless. i was so chuffed that i went i even went back this morning and had a filling. i have made another app. for next week to have my teeth whitened. the dentist is definately alot different to what they were like years ago. now stop being a baby and be brave like me. you will be so chuffed when its done.. GOOD LUCK!!!!
in response to the above answer, my dentist did it. he had some sort of tool that he pushes into the root and pulls it out. i must admit i did not realise he would do it. i thought he would refer me on.
I had the same exact issue with my wisdom tooth about 2 days ago. The hygenist said that I would not feel any pain after the extraction and she was right! Before they pull the tooth, they will numb the area and afterwards you should get a prescription for tylenol and an antibiotic for the bacteria. You will feel so much better! Trust me, I am a baby when it comes to going to the dentist.
Get tough and go to the dentist - a bit of pain now will save you lots more pain and potentially worse stuff later. Your junk could get infected and you could end up jaw less : )
Go to the Dentist!! He can remove the rts easily with an elevator %26amp; tooth will be numb [no pain],. If you don't it will get infected. You can not do it yourself!! Would not do one in my mouth even tho I have done thousands!! Doc W
