I am facing a problem with Python...pls advice?

i am carefully following the python tutor(Alan Gauld) and i had encountered problems with ';input..{i also tried int(raw_input...))}..when i am using this prompt an error handling message appears..my second and last problem is with 'else' and 'elif' expression...while i am typing the appropriate prompts as the tutorial an invalid syntax error appears continouesly...finally i considered that this is due to the next msg that appears in the opening of python 'Personal firewall software may warn about the connection IDLE

interface. This connection is not visible on any external


interface and no data is sent to or received from the Internet' pls help i tried all the versions of python and copy the prompts exactly as the tutorial and still the same problem..I am facing a problem with Python...pls advice?
For syntax error messages from Python, this is not related to firewall software. If you post the exact text you're pasting in to the Python prompt someone can help you figure out what is wrong. You can also send me a message through Yahoo Answers and I'll take a look. Without the Python code and error messages, it is hard to guess what's going wrong.
