Camry 08 problem(s); Needs some advice, thoughts, opinions?

To clarify, the V4s don't have the tapping noise issue problem I was mentioning.Camry 08 problem(s); Needs some advice, thoughts, opinions?
I'm sorry, but the Toyota's new car features for your engine states:

Valve Mechanism

';A hydraulic lash adjuster is used.';

There's a couple of issues here. The 2GR engine has an aluminum block with aluminum heads, and any noise generated is broadcast and amplified. And the lash adjusters (hydraulic lifters) are just noisy. Right after this engine came out I actually pulled one out and replaced the lifters, but the noise was identical after I finished. The key here is that you told them to check for any abnormalities. They can only report if there is a problem, and if they all sound like that, there is no problem. Technicians cannot re-engineer the car, only repair problems.

Go to the dealer and ask them to show you another one (even an Avalon with that engine) and you will likely find the others have the same noises. Your one time noise after sitting may likely be a test...the ABS system, or some other solenoid clunking. If so, another one will have the same noise.

I love it when a customer wants to ';sit beside me'; and show me the noise...then I don't waste time looking for the wrong one. And since it is an 08, Toyota should provide you a car while yours is being repaired, providing there is actually a problem.

Hope this helps. God Bless!Camry 08 problem(s); Needs some advice, thoughts, opinions?
it's a 2008. take it in to the dealer with your concern.
I would take it to a repair shop and have them look at it.
