Firefox malfunction problem since auto update, advice needed?

A recent update has caused the following problem

Firefox.exe - Bad image

The application or DLL c:\programfiles|motzilla firefox|xul.dll Is not a valid Windows image

Please check this against your installation diskette.

I don't have the disk as downloaded from the website, what can I do to rectify this problem, can I just delete that file or should I uninstall and download it again?

Kind regardsFirefox malfunction problem since auto update, advice needed?
It has probably sent you updates for IE, it is telling you as far as microsoft is concerned, Fire fox is not a Windows image. If you can download it again do so cause microsoft probably disabled it? Or download it to a disc on another pc and install it on yours. If you haven't made Firefox your default browser do so otherwise it will happen again, control panel%26gt;internet options%26gt; programs tab, check box that says '; tell me if IE is not default browser'; apply and restart pcFirefox malfunction problem since auto update, advice needed?
