Hi, I am a 21 year old male and I am need of some advice.
Background: I am -12 in both my right and left eye and have worn contacts since I was 5. I can see 20/20 with my contacts in and have no vision problems. I have perfect peripheral vision and both my eyes seem strong
Problem: My right eye turns in around 4-6 degrees. My mother has the same problem and it is not completely noticeable, however, it does get noticed from time to time. I have asked my eye doctor about it and he said there was a weakened muscle.
Does anyone know any eye exercises that could possibly fix this error? Or any advice?
ThanksEye Muscle Problem.... In need of advice?
4-6 degrees is a pretty small amount of turn. Most people off the street probably wouldn't even notice it. I'm wondering who told you your eyes turn in that much? The next time you need an eye exam, you may consider seeing a pediatric ophthalmologist. They are medical doctors who specialize in strabismus (misaligned eyes) in children and adults. They will be able to measure the amount your eyes turn, how well you use your eyes together, and what treatment they recommend- whether it be no treatment or surgery.
